I think the hypocrisy of the left is stunning at times. We’ve detailed several instances of it here on this blog, and I’m going to give you another one. I’m sure by now, you’ve heard of the problems Virginia’s Democrat Governor, Ralph Northam is facing, right? He has been shown in a high school yearbook posing in “blackface”. That’s highly offensive to blacks, and considered to be extremely racist. So, Republicans and Democrats in the Commonwealth have called for his resignation!
Then out of nowhere, the Lt. Governor, Justin Fairfax, who also happens to be a Democrat, and is next in line for the Governor’s mansion should anything happen to Northam, he gets slapped with a rape charge. Oops. That is causing a problem with Democrats…but that’s ok. The next in line would be the Attorney General, and that would be Democrat Mark Herring. So all is right in the world, right? Nope.
Yesterday, Herring came out and said that he TOO had posed in blackface in HIS high school yearbook. Now, THIS presents a problem, because the NEXT person in line for the Governor’s chair is Kirk Cox, who’s the Speaker of the House. The problem is…wait for it….he’s a REPUBLICAN! And so, when Democrats realized that Northam would resign, Fairfax might be in jail, and Herring did the same thing Northam did, all of a sudden the calls for Northam to resign stopped for the left! Apparently, racial insensitivity isn’t so bad when it means you are going to give up the post to the opposition party!
So, we have morals…not posing in blackface, not involving ourselves in sexual escapades we should be involved in, and not being involved in racism. And then we have morals…it’s OK to do that if you apologize and don’t resign from your post as long as the guy that is going to be replacing you is a Republican!
And people wonder why I get crazy dealing with liberals?
I’m going to go out on a limb here and recommend something to those folks of a liberal bias. I do it out of brotherly love and affection for mankind. When you are faced with a moral dilemma, stand up to it if you’re guilty. Admit that you did something wrong, and apologize, and face the music. You should have thought about the consequences of your actions, even actions that occurred thirty or forty years ago when you were a nobody, think about the consequences of your actions later on in life. But face the music. Don’t run and hide, or think you can ride the tide of the tsunami because there’s someone from the opposition party that will take over if you resign. Admit your friggin’ mistake and do the right thing. I don’t care what party you came from. I have a hunch that’s part of the reason the people elected you…that when faced with a problem, you’d do the right thing!
And that, boys and girls, is one of the major differences between conservatives and liberals (not Republicans and Democrats!).
Carry on world…you’re dismissed!
