Remember Lisa Page? She was Peter Strzok’s illicit girlfriend, and an attorney at the FBI during the 2016 presidential elections. She was one of the people that was highly sought after to hear her side of the story over the whole Hillary Clinton email server affair. That was the affair in case you forgot, whereby Hillary decided to forego federal law and to open up her own email server in her basement, and carry on classified communications with others on an email account that was unsecured, not safe, and ultimately hacked.
Well, Lisa Page has testified before Congress that apparently, the FBI felt that Hillary should be charged with Gross Negligence. However, the Department of Justice, under Attorney General, Loretta Lynch said that she felt that shouldn’t be done, and “the career professionals” at Justice felt that it would have been unconstitutional to do so. There was nothing to see here, folks…move along!
The testimony was made public after Page’s closed door session with Congress. So what does this tell us? Very simply that the fix was in from the start.
Hillary Clinton wasn’t going to be charged by any Justice Department run by the Obama administration, and that Loretta Lynch basically broke the law by not charging her. It also gives us some rather interesting insight into why FBI Director, James Comey may have come forward as he did in the summer of 2016, with a thrashing of Clinton that one could only assume, listening to it, would lead to the conclusion that she was going to be hit up on charges…only to be let down that there wasn’t anything there for the FBI to charge her with.
It was reminiscent of the Obama administration’s Obamacare case before the Supreme Court, where Chief Justice, John Roberts started out tearing into the Obamacare law. People reading the ruling live on the air without fully digesting it, felt compelled that it was going to lead to Roberts saying Obamacare wasn’t constitutional. And then at the last minute, after the Obama administration had argued that the penalty on those not having healthcare wasn’t a “tax”, Roberts threw them a life preserver saying that yes… Congress could indeed pass a “tax”, and that’s what this was.
So, Hillary skated because of Loretta Lynch’s insistence that she couldn’t find anything illegal in the charges, and she told the FBI that she wasn’t going to prosecute, even though she testified before Congress that if she saw something illegal there, she would. Apparently, the FBI found illegalities that the DOJ thought would be better left untried.
What’s interesting in all of this was Lisa Page was a Hillary supporter. The fact she would come out in testimony that basically threw Lynch under the bus in protecting Hillary is almost unbelievable. It was almost as if Page believed that when she was sworn in, she should tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God!
And in the end…Hillary still skates. Unless Trump’s DOJ decides under William Barr, to prosecute!
Carry on world…you’re dismissed!
