Meanwhile, Back On The Trail…

Democrats are just praying that Hillary Clinton will go away. It seems every time the Democrat Party is primed to move past the dynamic duo of extra marital affairs, scandals, and scams, something pulls them back together again. This time it was an interview in the Hollywood Reporter for her upcoming mini-series on Hulu, which airs in March.

Hillary, never one to pull a punch except when she’s running against Donald Trump said about Bernie Sanders, “Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done,” Clinton said. “He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”

That raised the eyebrows of more than one upper level Democrat. Of course, people in the Clinton camp said that it was all Bernie’s fault because he really didn’t come to her aid and help her win the presidency as his backers sat home rather than vote for her. Bernie’s side, and most Democrats for that matter, say that she was to blame for losing a very winnable election, and she’s still trying to come to terms with how she could have been so badly whooped by a neophyte politician.

I will give Sanders some credit on this one. When they asked him to respond, his comment was, “Look, Hillary Clinton is certainly entitled to her own opinions. But, my focus today is on a monumental moment in American history: the impeachment trial of Donald Trump,” Sanders said. “Together, we are going to go forward and defeat the most dangerous president in American history.”

So, my point, and it’s been my point since January 20, 2017 is simply, why is anyone still listening to Hillary Clinton? Why is anyone in Hollywood interested in doing a mini-series on her for cryin’ out loud? She’s a loser. Did we do a mini-series on John McCain, or Mitt Romney or Michael Dukakis after they got their rear ends whipped? The answer is no…we didn’t. Nobody cared. So why should anybody care about what Hillary Clinton thinks of anything? Yes, Bernie’s right in that she’s entitled to her own opinion, but her opinion and $3 will get you a grande coffee at Starbucks.

And why in the world would she come out now when the news media is all excited about impeachment, covering this most boring display, gavel to gavel? Did she really think her interview would hurt Donald Trump? It actually helped him! It took everyone’s attention, if only for a few brief moments, off the soap opera being played out in the Senate, and shoved her front and center in front of everyone.

Of course, this isn’t going to change anything. Hillary Clinton isn’t going to win any election any time in the future. She’s not going to influence enough people to not vote for Bernie Sanders, and her mini-series on Hulu will go the way of her live show with hubby Bill…it bombed. This will air for a month or two on Hulu, and will be around as they try to recoup the cost of producing it, but will die shortly thereafter; probably for reruns of MASH or some such program that will be more valuable to the typical Hulu viewer. And Hillary Clinton can once again, slink back inside her case of Chardonnay!
