As a former member of the media, I don’t mind when the media gives a fair and balanced story. That is, after all, what they are supposed to be doing. And I know the difference in these talking head cable-news shows between something like a “Morning Joe” show and what I would consider to be news reporting. One is giving an opinion, the other is supposed to be giving fact. The problem is, there is a HUGE disconnect these days. The lines have been so blurred into what is a fact, and what is fiction, that the media has lost all ability to get anything straight.
Take for example Brian Stelter on CNN. Here is a reporter that has been suspended in the past for creating “news stories”. He has zero credibility in the industry, yet CNN continues to allow this buffoon on the air. In a recent talking-head segment, he asked a panelist, “When you see entire media companies essentially exist to tear down Joe Biden, is there an equivalent of that on the left to tear down Trump?”
Panelist: “There really isn’t. It’s really a diet of the type of information that these voters are getting. A lot of the voters that I talk to, when I interview them, I can, I do hear them saying a lot of the talking points that sound very familiar from some of these shows that I try to listen to when I’m out on the campaign trail or when I’m at home, you know, watching TV. You can hear these comments being echoed by voters and you know this is the diet that they are on. You know…AM radio, uh, conservative talk, also social media. I mean, the Trump campaign is running a full-blown campaign on social media that is completely uh, off the radar, uh, for uh, you know, for a lot of regular media. You have a large group of the media not covering this. ”
That’s calling turning the tables. Here you have the largest and most guilty network of all, the network that since the days of Bill Clinton has been in bed with the left so much it’s initials were called “Clinton News Network”, actually airing that what they are doing is what they are accusing “countless media” of doing…existing only to tear down a candidate that’s not theirs. How vapid!
CNN is just one example and was easy because they are without a doubt the most blatant, though far from the only biased media outlet out there.
Now, let’s turn to NBC News. Josh Rogin, who writes for the Washington Post, itself long accused of being a mouthpiece for the left, actually called out NBC for their biased reporting on a trip to find the source of the China Virus. His tweet is listed down below if you would care to click on the link and read it.
This @NBCNews report on their field trip to Wuhan Institute of Virology has several errors, but the most glaring is that it misrepresents what U.S. officials wrote in diplomatic cables in 2018. I’ll explain: https://t.co/ocexX0ANB0

What I find offensive is the blatant hypocrisy that the media is displaying. America, first of all, isn’t buying it. The media has a lower approval rating than Congress…and that’s very hard to do!
My suggestion has been, when these media outlets try to make up the news, give fake news, or misquote in a misleading way, declare that outlet as no longer a news organization, and take away their First Amendment rights of “freedom of the press”. If they want to stand by that when they lie to the American public, and if it’s done with malice, as there are always mistakes being made, fine. Take away that right, and then deny them access to cover any news story. Deny the people involved, up to and including the CEO’s of these companies the ability to ever work in media again, or reporters ever to find a job in the industry again. Yes, it’s a harsh punishment, but an apt one. And it will stop the phony reporting that is so rampant today.
Carry on world…you’re dismissed!
