Pelosi Shows Her True Colors

And they aren’t red, white, and blue.

Don’t forget…Nancy Pelosi, and a dozen or so other Democrats (pictured above) were quick to put on a Kente cloth, even though they didn’t realize they were offending Africans by doing so. They thought they were showing support when George Floyd was murdered. Then they all went into to Statuary Hall in the Capitol Building, and knelt. Well, all but Jerry Nadler. He’s too fat and they would have needed a crane to get him back on his feet, so he stood there looking like the buffoon he is. You remember that, right?

So, when it came time for someone to honor the thirteen servicemen that Joe Biden killed in Afghanistan with his neolithic incompetence, Republican Congressmen wanted to have the names of the thirteen that had sacrificed their lives in service to our country, however cowardly it was being led, read to honor their memory. Pelosi said “NO!!”

Why in the world would Pelosi not want to honor fallen veterans? The answer is simple. The optics in this case make Joe Biden look like the horse’s ass he is. And Democrats want to move past this monstrous screw up so fast, they don’t care who they offend or how often they offend them in order to get by it. Somehow, methinks that’s not going to work.

When Biden pulled out of Afghanistan, he did what a vast majority of Americans wanted him to do. That part is a moot point. Rasmussen did a poll and some 79% of Americans wanted out of that country. So, pulling the troops out, as Donald Trump said he would do, and Joe Biden thought he would capitalize on by actually doing, looked to be a safe bet. But it was the way it was done. Today, a whopping 80% of all Americans, and that includes more than a handful of leftist socialist Democrats, and turning their back on Biden and admitting that he screwed up big time.

By Pelosi not allowing those thirteen names to be read, she not only elongated the news cycle on Afghanistan, which has already begun to take a backseat in the mainstream media, but it dishonored the memory of brave men and women who’s lives should never have been lost. Those thirteen people should be home with their families today. But Joe Biden was a coward. Joe Biden was an idiot from a medical definition, and he turned his back on them. Just as he has turned his back on the thousands of American and Afghani people that needed to be evacuated (though the White House is only saying it’s “hundreds” because they aren’t counting the Afghans that helped the United States for the past two decades). Pelosi, in her addle-minded, everything-is-political thinking feels that if you call attention in the least to any mistake you’ve made it will get hung on you. Kinda like wearing a Kente cloth, huh, Nancy?

Kneeling for George Floyd’s memory is one thing. But doing that and honoring a criminal who apparently was high when he was being arrested, and then denying Republicans the opportunity to simply read the names of thirteen fallen soldiers is not just wrong, it’s un-American. Pelosi should be ashamed of herself. She’s no American.

What Is It With July Phone Calls?

I’ve always known that August should be the month that presidents should dread. If you think back through the last few presidents we’ve had, there have been problems for all of them in the month of August. It seems like it has a whammy on them. I mean, it was in August that George W. Bush learned that there was an attack being planned on the World Trade Centers. It was in August that Bill Clinton ended up testifying in the whole Monica Lewinsky affair. Go back to 1964 and you’ve got Lyndon Johnson having the Gulf of Tonkin affair during the Vietnam War in August. Of course, you’ve got Joe Biden’s abortion of a pullout of Afghanistan that basically has ruined his presidency. And who can forget that Richard Nixon resigned in August of 1974?

Well, it’s starting off that July is also a pretty bad month for presidents to be making phone calls. You’ll remember it was in July that Donald Trump made a phone call to Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy. That led to the whole big investigation the Democrats wanted to hold to see if there was any “quid pro quo” in trying to hang a mess on Joe and Hunter Biden. Remember that it had to do with Trump withholding funds from Ukraine if they didn’t help out with it? And of course it was the exact same thing that happened when Joe Biden threatened to withhold funds from the country if they didn’t fire the prosecutor that was looking into the firm Hunter Biden was on the Board of Directors of.

It’s happening again. Apparently, there is a phone call that Joe Biden made to Afghan President, Ashraf Ghani, back in July. At that time, Biden was trying to get Ghani to “change the narrative” on the Taliban. Biden spent 14 minutes on the phone with Ghani, and the bulk of that time had Joe focusing in on the optics of the Taliban taking back Afghanistan. As he put it:

“I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,” Biden said. “And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.”

Oops. And that’s something that is in a transcript. That’s not something that the communications team at the White House can easily dismiss, especially in light of the fact that Biden has stranded thousands of Americans in Afghanistan with no way to get home!

So, it bears the question…should US sitting presidents just not take phone calls for the month of July and pick another month rather than August to go on vacation and not respond to events happening around the world? Or is it something else?

I would contend it’s the latter. I don’t think that Donald Trump’s call to Zelenskiy, or Biden’s call to Ghani were smart moves on their parts at all. Trump was acting very vindictive and thought he could get political dirt on an upcoming rival. Biden was hoping to escape what looked like at the time, and turned out to be an absolute sh*t show. Neither of these guys really fully understood the optics of what they were dealing with. Trump was a neophyte politician, and I guess you can sort of excuse him for that. Biden is just a mental case. The knock on him even before the election was that he was not mentally capable of running the country, and he certainly hasn’t given any reason to believe that opinion was anything but 100% valid.

Trump’s call to Zelenskiy was a part of his downfall, along with the COVID response that he kept making day after day. I wrote here in this blog that he needed to stop with the daily briefings and let Mike Pence take over and run them, since he was doing nothing more than playing cheerleader. That and the obvious reference to trying to get dirt on Biden hurt him. With Biden it was much worse. We are now only beginning to learn of the incompetence of this guy and the screwed up plan that he approved and put in place. Anyone with an ounce of brains would have realized that he did things entirely backwards. If you’re going to leave a country you’ve occupied for any length of time, the first thing you do is get the civilians out. Then you get the Embassy personnel out . Then you get the military out. Biden did the opposite, and it will cost him. His term is basically over unless there is something up the road that he can do to rectify this.

Any attempt to try and explain away what happen, or to try and take a victory lap that you’ve succeeded in getting the troops home, while stranding thousands of American citizens, and Afghani’s that had spent a lot of their lives helping America out is worthless. Images of planes leaving Kabul with Afghans hanging on to the side of them hoping to get to freedom will be the legacy of this president for time immemorial.

EXTRA! Another Biden Lie Hits Home

Joe Biden isn’t a guy that’s been known throughout his career for telling the truth. Joe Biden has been a guy that’s been known throughout his career for saying whatever he needed to say at the moment in order to make people happy. That’s what makes Joe Biden, Joe Biden.

So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that Joe Biden lied on August 18th, when he was being interviewed by ABC News’, George Stephanopoulos. What he said during that interview was that it was the objective of the military to get everyone out of Afghanistan, be it US troops, Americans, or Afghans that had helped America over the past 20 years. He continued,

“That’s what we’re doing now, that’s the path we’re on. And I think we’ll get there,” he said. “If there’s American citizens left, we’re gonna stay to get them all out.”

He lied.

Well, he didn’t lie at the time. He lied yesterday when he had his Department of Defense spokesperson, John Kirby tell the assembled reporters that the last plane had already left Kabul. There are literally thousands of people still on the ground in Afghanistan fearing for their lives. And yes, they are Afghans that helped America over the past twenty years, and yes, they are American citizens who were there supporting the troops in various capacities. In fact, whole families are in Afghanistan wanting to get out…American families. And Joe Biden lied when he said if there’s American citizens left, we’re gonna stay to get them out.

That is totally unthinkable. It’s a stain on America. This evacuation and pullout has been the most botched military exercise in American history rivaling Little Big Horn and Vietnam. And actually it’s worse than either of those two. Everyone at Little Big Horn was pretty much killed (except for one horse), and I don’t believe we intentionally left anyone in Vietnam.

While Biden may want to blame Donald Trump, and the Afghan army, and whomever else he can throw under the bus, this one rests squarely at the feet of Joe Biden. It’s no one else’s fault but his own. And those 13 servicemen that died in that final bomb attack? The blood is on Joe Biden’s hands. And not on the watch that he so callously looked at as he accepted their flag draped coffins.

We can add this to the ever growing list of broken promises, half-truths, and outright lies that have come out of the mouth of Joe Biden. And apparently, he’s no longer calling Donald Trump a liar. I guess that’s about the only good thing that has come from this total abortion from a totally morally bankrupt person.

Today Is The Day

If you’re keeping score at home, today is August 31st. That means today is the self-imposed, Joe Biden-approved deadline for all US troops to be out of Afghanistan. Now, you have to parse words in Biden’s statement, ala Bill Clinton. We have to understand what the meaning of “is” is.

Biden did not say that all Americans would be out of Afghanistan. He said all troops would be out of Afghanistan. Yesterday the Pentagon announced that “the last US Military plane had left Afghanistan”. That was a whole day and a half early. But to be honest, we’re not sure. Because nobody, not Joe Biden, not the Generals in the Pentagon, not the news media that keeps track of this stuff, not the people at the Kabul airport, nobody knows how many Americans are stranded in that country.

And yes…they are stranded. For Jen Psaki’s edification, here is the Free Dictionary’s definition of the word “stranded: “left helpless, as without transport”. Jen, I guess you probably need to call William & Mary, and ask for a refund on your college education. I would have assumed you could have figured that word out by now.

So, we don’t know how many people are stranded in Afghanistan at this point. We don’t know if we will ever get not only the Americans home, but also the Afghanis that were translators and those that helped the Americans during their two-decades long occupation of that country. And the White House doesn’t have any clue. In fact, the previously mentioned Ms. Psaki has publicly said that when asked if Biden was planning on abandoning Americans in that war-torn country replied,  “We expect there could be some but I’m not going to get into it further.” Take that as a “YES!”

I know that the White House is hoping beyond all hope that the news cycle changes quickly. As I was saying to my wife the other day, the problem they have is, this isn’t going away. Think of the last thing that was “front page” as far as the big story was concerned, before Afghanistan’s withdrawal and the monumental screw up that ensued. Do you remember it?

It was the southern border.

And since then, what have you heard about the southern border? Even the Supreme Court has weighed in and denied a stay that a lower court ruled Biden must adhere to a Trump-era policy of keeping those seeking to get into this country to stay in Mexico until their court hearing. But you haven’t heard about that because the blaring noise of the Afghanistan screw up Biden has caused. I have seen some reports that have tried to pin this on others. There was a liberal source that said it was all George W. Bush’s fault because he was the one that sent troops to Afghanistan back in 2001 after 9/11. That is true. Unfortunately, there have been three presidents since then, and only one has withdrawn troops completely, and did so in such a fashion that there was utter chaos on the ground.

So, the chances that this dies down anytime soon are practically none. Don’t forget, it’s going to mean there will be hearings in Congress about what went wrong, and how to fix it. Democrats in charge are going to want to push this past next November’s midterm elections. They were already expected to lose the House and probably the Senate anyway, and this Biden-caused mishap is only going to exacerbate the situation. The sooner Congress breaks with Biden on this one and lays it at his feet the better off they are going to be. And can you just hear the debate between some yet-to-be-named Republican candidate and Joe Biden or K-baby Harris when the Republican running for the highest office in the land in 2024, asks Joe Biden how he sleeps at night knowing he left Americans stranded in Afghanistan?

As you go about your day today, say a quick prayer for the thousands of people that Joe Biden has abandoned (Jen Psaki’s word, not mine) in Afghanistan. They are going to need all the prayers they can get.
