Will The Ukraine/Israel Aid Packages Doom Biden?

You have to give it to the Republicans on this one. I’m not a big fan of how they try to lead in Congress, because they seem to screw up much more often than actually lead. But they did one thing right, and had a lot of Democrat help along the way…

They put the rule that Tik Tok had to divest itself of foreign ownership in there.

Now, most parents, and most people in Congress think that’s a good thing. It’s a bi-partisan agreement point. When people learn that the website is owned by ByteDance, a company that is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and that they are gathering all sorts of information on the users of the site, it does have a good chance of changing people’s minds over whether or not China should be allowed into the minds of our kids.

On the other side of the coin, you’ve got a situation for Biden that is very similar to the Israel/Hamas clash. He’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. Biden originally came out in strong favor of Israel in their battle to wipe out Hamas. Then he saw what was happening in Dearborn, Michigan, a very heavily populated cell of Islamic Americans. They were against him to the point that in the Michigan primary, they decided to vote “uncommitted” rather than vote for Biden in the primary. Biden won the vote handedly anyway, but that’s not what concerns him.

He needs both the Jewish vote, which is a traditional Democrat voting bloc, and he needs the Muslims, which are traditionally younger and more liberal.

Same thing is happening on Tik Tok 70% of 18-19 year olds are on the website. For those 20-29, the number is still high. 56% of that age group is found on Tik Tok. And whoops. Part of what Biden signed into law as he gave Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan aid money, was that Tik Tok had basically nine months to divest itself of foreign ownership. That’s going to be decided in the courts as a freedom of speech issue, but national security also will weigh in on the final decision there.

And by the way, Biden’s numbers with the youth vote in this country were already falling like a brick. He won 60% of the 18-29 year olds in 2020 against Trump. But that number prior to the Tik Tok forced sale, is down to 45%. At that rate, Biden loses the election on that issue alone.

It’s the second “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” issue Biden has on his plate. Pitting Jews against Muslims, and now the youth against Congress, and mainstream Democrats and Republicans. And it’s all because of one reason…Biden can’t make a firm decision without upsetting somebody.

That is precisely why he’s going to lose the election in November.
