Well…Lawfare Didn’t Work!

If you’re a Democrat trying to keep Donald Trump out of office, what all can you do? Nothing the Dems have tried, dating back to 2016 when he got elected has worked. Oh, they tried the Russian Collusion hoax. That basically backfired. Remember the Mueller Report? And then it was learned that it was Hillary Clinton’s gang that paid for that Christopher Steele dossier that was nothing more than a fairy tale? That didn’t go very well.

Then you’ve got the whole impeachment thing in 2019. That was a bust. And let’s not forget the impeachment in 2021, AFTER Trump left office. That was over the whole January 6th Capitol riot thing. But the interesting thing there is, they weren’t trying to remove Trump from office. He’d already left. They were trying to make it so he couldn’t run for reelection up the road. And again, that ended badly.

After Trump left office, you had a bevy of socialist prosecutors and Attorneys General that were trying to legally force Trump out of the 2024 race. You had Alvin Bragg trying to say that paying off a porn star was a state crime, when in fact it was turned down by the Department of Justice for prosecution because they didn’t see it as a crime. Then you had the whole Georgia election interference thing, where Fani Willis decided she had the goods on Trump.

But wait, there’s more. You’ve got Jack Smith. Remember the raid on Mar a Lago? That basically has gone south since Robert Hur’s report has come out saying that Joe Biden yes, he committed a crime, but we’d never be able to get a conviction on a doddering, incompetent man who doesn’t realize where he is or what he’s doing half the time. Even though Biden’s mis-deeds with classified documents were done before he was president. He was Vice President, and even just a Senator when he took those classified docs. Trump at the very least can argue that he was taking documents (which is legal) for his memoirs and presidential library. And let’s not forget that the only real difference between Trump and Biden in this case is that Trump could be charged with obstruction of justice. And while you can get nailed with a 30 year jail term for it, typically it’s fines and a misdemeanor.

And then you’ve got the whole January 6th thing. This is another Jack Smith boondoggle. And this one says that Trump caused the whole January 6th thing with his speech and his actions while in office. That’s a stretch to be sure. First of all, Trump is fighting that and it’s in front of the Supreme Court right now whether or not he can be charged with something he did while he’s in office. If the high court doesn’t back him on this, and Biden loses? Well, there could be consequences for him up the road as well. But in the meantime, there have been two whistleblowers that have come forward to testify saying that Trump did nothing wrong and tried to calm down the rioters, not promote them storming the Capitol.

And now we see that Letitia James won’t be able to slap a padlock on Trump Tower, and may not even be able to finish up the case as it most likely will get thrown out of court. The bond was already lowered from $464 million to $175 million, still a huge sum. But when Trump was asked how he was going to pay for it, he replied, “In cash”. I’d love to see him pay for it in pennies!

Fani Willis’ case in Georgia is going to continue with her involved, after Nathan Wade, himself no more than an ambulance chaser, had to quit due to his romance with Willis. But six of the charges have already been thrown out because they were improperly filed. That tells me that Willis really doesn’t understand how to be a District Attorney, much less how to do it right.

Isn’t it interesting that at every turn, Democrats’ attempt to stop Trump or hurt him has only helped? Why don’t they try something rather novel? Let’s have a regular old election, and elect the best candidate running? What do they have to be afraid of? Oh…I see…Joe Biden!
