Karine Jean-Pierre Steps In It Again.

I’ve said it numerous times, if you’re in a position of hiring and firing, be it a McDonald’s manager, or the President of the United States, you should always go into each job search trying to hire the best person for the job. You shouldn’t care what color their skin is, or what gender they are, or what their sexual preference is, or what their religion is, or where they came from. If they are the best person for the job, and they are willing to work for you for the amount you are willing to pay them, you hire them. Period.

Someone should have told that to Joe Biden.

Biden has this addle-minded notion that you have to hire people based on all of those attributes that I’ve listed above. And it’s dead wrong. Sorry, Joe, but you’re committing so many violations of the federal law by ignoring the best person, it’s ridiculous. It’s called reverse discrimination!

And as an example, we visit, once again, the White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre. She was hired for the job not because she was the most qualified or even the best applicant. She filled the position after Jen Psaki left to go to MSNBC, because she fit three of the criteria I listed above. She’s a woman, she’s black, and she’s a lesbian.

Oh, and she’s terrible at her job.

Case in point, the Biden campaign feels they have a decent chance if they campaign hard enough this year to flip North Carolina, which Donald Trump won by two points in 2020. Trump is leading by a similar margin in the state right now. So, Biden and K-baby Harris both went down there to campaign. And Jean-Pierre hit up WBT personality, Mark Garrison in Charlotte with a phone interview. As someone that has done literally thousands of phoners, I can tell you that you have to prepare about 10 minutes for every minute you have the person on the phone.

Garrison told his listeners that he was going to be interviewing Jean-Pierre prior to the phone call, this was the question he asked based on the listeners’ response: ‘Would you please just ask her: Does the president have dementia?’ And so before I move on from that, does he?”

Let me explain briefly that the duties of the Press Secretary is to be a liaison between the President and the press in any given situation. It’s a gatekeeper position of sorts. And you want to come away having made a good point for the president, while maintaining a good relationship with the media. Otherwise, you get bad stuff said about you, and your boss. Apparently, nobody bothered to tell Jean-Pierre that.

After hearing the question, this was her reply:

“Wait, no, let me — no, no, no, no, no! Mark, you’re taking us down this rabbit hole. Let me be very clear about this: For the past several years, the president’s physician has laid out… in a comprehensive way the president’s health. This is a president, if you watch him every day, if you really pay attention to his record and what he has done, you will see exactly how focused he has been on the American people, how historic his actions has been. And so I’m not even going to — truly, truly, really — you know, take the premise of your question. I think it is incredibly insulting. And so we can, you know, we can move on to the next question.”

So, Garrison went ahead and asked another question: “Gas prices and grocery prices, then. Big topics here in North Carolina. How does Mr. Biden win votes when people don’t have as much disposable income?”

To which Jean-Pierre replied:

“Look, the president understands. He grew up in a middle-class family, working-class family in Scranton, Pennsylvania. And he gets it. He understands how difficult it is for Americans who are sitting around their kitchen table every month trying to figure out what they’re going to pay for. You have to remember when the president walked into this administration, there were multiple crises happening: there was COVID, there was the economy that was in a tailspin because of the last administration, because of what President Trump left us with. Now you’re asking me about gas prices. The president took action on gas prices. Let’s not forget Russia’s invasion on Ukraine skyrocketed prices of gas and because the president took action, we see we are in a different place than we were in gas prices. Eggs milk, seafood products — all the important groceries, those costs have gone down because of what this president has been able to do. And with that, thank you so much, Mark. Have an amazing, amazing day.” She hung up.

As someone that made a living for a lot of years interviewing people from TV and movie stars, to authors, to all sorts of politicians, including presidents, I can tell you, this is one of the most unprofessional interviews I have ever heard a respondent give. Garrison was asking legitimate questions, maybe not softballs by any means, but they were both legitimate. And Jean-Pierre’s response was undeniably rude and sophomoric. Had she been my press secretary and said that, it would have been the last interview she ever would have done. I would have fired her on the spot. You don’t treat the media, who can make or break any politician (even in North Carolina) by how they treat you after an interview like that.

Since that time, Garrison has appeared on at least four cable news shows and blasted Jean-Pierre on each of them. The response in North Carolina hasn’t been good for Biden and any positives that came out of his visit with Harris were totally undone by that short two minute phone call.

Yet another reason why you should always strive to hire the best qualified person for the job. It saves you the embarrassment of cleaning up KJP’s mess afterward.

Carry on world…you’re dismissed!
