Trump Scores Big Primary Wins

While Donald Trump languishes in national polls, as well as battleground state polls around the country…just as he did four years ago against Hillary Clinton, it’s becoming obvious there is something afoot in these polls.

Somebody is lying!

Either it’s the polling companies that aren’t weighting the responses correctly, or the respondents are lying to the polling companies when they answer the question, “Who are you voting for?”

Donald Trump-backed candidates scored a couple of rather impressive wins in primaries Tuesday night in fights that could have gone either way. In the very red state of Alabama, former Senator and Attorney General, Jeff Sessions lost in his bid to reclaim his Senate seat by losing in a primary to former Auburn football coach, Tommy Tuberville. Tuberville becomes the odds on favorite to flip the seat currently held by freshman, Doug Jones.

Trump has campaigned hard and long against Sessions ever since he recused himself in the whole Mueller investigation/Russian collusion story because Sessions believed since he was involved in the Trump campaign, it was the right thing to do.

In the end, Sessions lost out on a fourth and long.

Meanwhile in Texas, Dr. Ronny Jackson, who was the former White House doctor, and had Trump’s support beat out challenger, Josh Winegarner, for a House seat being vacated by Mac Thornberry, who decided not to run. Thornberry had thrown his support to Winegarner.

What that shows is that Trump’s base is indeed strong in two traditionally red states, something the battleground polls would have you believe is faltering.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the aisle, we’re seeing more and more races, especially for the US Senate seats where mainstream Democrats are having an increasingly hard time beating underfunded, underqualified uber-leftist socialist candidates.

In Texas, MJ Hegar, the mainstream candidate narrowly held off a challenge from Royce West, who wasn’t backed by anyone except the uber-snowflakes. Hegar now faces John Cornyn come November in what should prove to be an uphill battle.

Meanwhile, back in Kentucky in June, Amy McGrath, who was the establishment’s candidate won, but just barely against a snowflake socialist. And in Maine, where the Democrats are really looking to take a seat, mainstream candidate Sara Gideon will move on to take on Susan Collins this November. Collins is seeking her fifth term and is trailing Gideon in the polls on that one. Collins, as you’ll recall has not been much of a supporter of Donald Trump. And it’s doubtful he’ll help her come the general election.

IF (and it’s a big if) the Democrats are split this fall in elections, and can’t get their base out…both sides of their base…as was shown in these primaries, it’s going to be very difficult for them to maintain the House, take back the Senate, and possibly win the White House. Especially if Trump is having the impact on the primaries that he’s having! It also doesn’t help matters for Joe Biden that he’s basically threatening the way of life for people in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio by moving past coal and into more “sustainable” energy forms, as is part of the Bernie Sanders’ agenda.

If Trump can be the Donald Trump we saw in 2016, and not be the ego-maniac we’ve been seeing most of this spring and summer, he should have a clear shot at winning. If, however, we’re seeing the best of Trump now…well…get ready for new curtains at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!

Bye Bye Jeff!

Jeff Sessions quit at the behest of President Donald Trump yesterday. It came as a surprise to absolutely no one. Sessions, who recused himself from all of the Russian Collusion crap, had been in hot water with Trump from the beginning because of that.

The interesting thing was that Session’s Chief of Staff, Matthew Whitacker was appointed as the new temporary director of the DOJ. That means that Trump bypassed DOJ Second-In-Command, Rod Rosenstein. And this leads to some interesting speculations.

First of all, the Mueller Report on the Russian collusion case, is going to be given, not to the Democrats in the House, not to the Republicans in the Senate, and not to Donald Trump. The Mueller Report will come to Matthew Whitacker, who has said publicly that he is against looking into Trump’s taxes, and is for closing the Russian collusion case quickly. Oh, by the way…he’s also in favor of opening a criminal investigation against Hillary Clinton on all of the crap that she was dragging through the 2016 Presidential Campaign.

So, the Democrats may have won the House Tuesday night, but Donald Trump won the week. Just by putting Whitacker at the helm at DOJ, even on a temporary basis (and remember…it’s the SENATE that has to approve him, NOT the House if he’s picked to be the permanent replacement), Trump has got a solid ally. It’s kind of like putting Eric Holder in charge of the Obama administration’s DOJ. And yes…it’s political. Don’t ever forget that. And don’t think for one minute that everything the Democrat’s have done over the last decade doesn’t have political implications behind it.

Here’s the bottom line. Sessions was a thorn in Trump’s side because he wouldn’t play politics. Trump wanted someone on his team in that position, and it was extremely evident that Sessions would be the first to go after the midterms. That said, it’s clear that a Trump DOJ is going to be a lot like the Obama DOJ… for the GOP instead of the Democrats…and to be honest, it’ll be fun to watch. While yes, I believe that it’s best to have a DOJ that is blind, I think those days are pretty well left behind us…and we can thank Bobo Obama for that.

As we move into 2019, yes, the House is going to be able to open up investigations on Trump. The end of the day is, that doesn’t mean squat. Look at what the GOP was able to do against Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration. They won’t be able to do a damn thing with it. If they actually impeach Trump (or Kavanaugh), with the Senate even more in Republican hands, it’s going nowhere. It becomes, as Clinton said, a badge of honor. And like hurting the Republicans after the impeachment, it will indeed hurt the Dems.

So, we bid goodbye to Jeff Sessions, and say hello to Matthew Whitacker. In the long run, trust the Trump…he’s earned that trust!

Some Fact Checking On Trump & Libs

There has been a lot of hootin’ & hollerin’ goin’ on in DC and around the country regarding “separating parents from their children”at the borders. In fact, one side says there is no law, one side cites a court case, one side wants a campaign issue to run on, one side wants to settle it. What is true, what is false? Here’s the truth.

First and foremost, Donald Trump is wrong when he says the Democrats passed a “law” that makes separating children from their parents necessary. It’s not a law, it was a court decision in 1997 called the “Flores Decision”. It was a class action lawsuit that dealt with “catch and release” of minors picked up by Immigration at the border. The only position I can find that it was Democrats that “passed the law” was that it occurred when Bill Clinton was president. But it dealt with issues in the 1980’s and that would fall under Ronald Reagan and possibly Jimmy Carter. So, no…Democrats didn’t “give us” this bad law.

The ruling said that the child should be temporarily placed with a relative or at least a friend instead of being locked up. If there was no relative or friend here in this country, and the parent or supposed parent would be either a threat to the child or would be imprisoned themselves, then the child should be kept in the “least restrictive environment possible”. And of course, the child should be released as soon as possible. That’s what the court decision said.

Second, there is a couple of very good logical reasons (instead of the emotional reasons that liberals and Laura Bush are giving) for separating children from parents. First and foremost is the fact is there are about 2,000 families being “separated” at this point in time. Most of those (more than half according to ICE) involve one or two adults coming across the border illegally, with a child that it turns out, is NOT theirs. They are picking up homeless kids on the way, and bringing them across the border, claiming that they are their kids. DNA testing shows that’s not the case. In that case, both the “parent” and the child are deported.

Another reason to separate the child from the adult in these cases is if the adult is found to have been guilty of a crime and is themselves incarcerated. You don’t want to lock up a child with an adult in an adult detention facility. All sorts of bad things can happen. Hell, all sorts of bad things happen to adults in that situation.

I think the reason that Jeff Sessions said in the first place that they’d be separating child from adult in these instances is because he was trying to send a message (obviously one that liberals didn’t understand) that if you’re going to commit a crime and come to this country, and you bring a child with you, you’re going to lose that child. That was meant to be a deterrent that basically you should leave the kid at home, or better yet, not come yourself. Liberals always seem to forget there IS a law regarding immigration and these folks have ALL broken that law!

Do we need a solution quickly? Sure we do. Nobody wants to see real, true families broken up. That’s ludicrous and anybody that suggests otherwise is playing an emotional card that shows their stupidity. But, if there is to be a law written to do it, who’s job is it to accomplish that feat? Well, as we learned with Obama’s attempts to write laws, then get slapped down by the Supreme Court, it’s the Congress that can end this today. Get a bill together, send it to the president to sign, and he signs it. Then it IS a law, and then the separation stops. Isn’t it easy when you follow the Constitution?

It’s About Time!

I would like to publicly thank and congratulate a dozen GOP lawmakers in Washington, DC. They have done something that was completely overdue. They have sent referrals to Attorney General Jeff Sessions to send up criminal indictments against six former Obama era officials for various federal crimes. They are 100% right, and are to be honored as heroes.

The six that were named include former FBI Director, James Comey; former Secretary of State (and presidential hopeful), Hillary Clinton; former Attorney General, Loretta Lynch; former FBI Deputy Director, Andrew McCabe; FBI special agent Peter Strzok, and FBI attorney, Lisa Page.

All six of these folks should be behind bars for their crimes against America. And I want to thank the following Republican lawmakers for their brave stand: Andy Biggs (R-AZ); Ron Desantis (R-FL); Dave Brat (R-VA), Jeff Duncan (R-SC), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Paul A. Gosar (R-AZ), Andy Harris (R-MD), Jody Hice (R-GA), Todd Rokita (R-IN), Claudia Tenney (R-NY), and Ted Yoho (R-FL).

I’ve had a run in with Andy Biggs in the past over the Convention of States proposal that was going around a couple of years ago. He was president of the Arizona State Senate at the time, and though the COS passed the State House, he wouldn’t bring it up for a vote in the Senate, which was dead-ass wrong. However, he somewhat redeemed himself on this one!

According to Breitbart, here are the charges:

They said Comey potentially broke the law when he chose not to seek charges against Clinton, for leaking classified memos of his conversations to President Trump to his friend Daniel Richman to give to the press, and for lying to lawmakers.

They said Clinton potentially broke the law when disguising payments to Fusion GPS, the firm that produced the Trump dossier, despite mandatory disclosures to the Federal Election Commission.

Lynch, they said, potentially broke the law when she threatened a former FBI informant, William Douglas Campbell, who had tried to come forward in 2016 with information related to the Uranium One deal that was approved in 2010.

McCabe potentially broke the law when he lied to investigators four times when questioned about a leak that he had arranged, they said.

Strzok and Page potentially violated the law by interfering in the investigation of Clinton’s private email server, they said. The letter cites a Wall Street Journal report that said their text messages to one another revealed FBI officials tried to eliminate evidence that Clinton had compromised high-level communications with then-President Obama.

Now the big question is, will Jeff Sessions have the balls to actually go after all of these people? That is really what this guy’s job should depend on, not whether or not he recused himself over the “collusion” hogwash. Frankly, if Sessions doesn’t indict these folks and try them and convict them, he should be fired and never work in politics again. This is the simplest decision anyone could make. Hell, even David Hogg could get this one right!
